HEY PPL!

I know I know it's winter and it's getting dark :( but the sun is shining out of my eyes and should be out of yours too!
A lot of people are looking for some positivity in theirs lives because they are being weighed down by things around them, but hey don't just sit and hope! We have to make good times, they can't just come 2 u.
Let's use the good old philosophy - everyone suffers, and know you only suffer because of desire, so desire to be in the moment you are in right now!
Don't use depressing words, because you're the first to hear them, who wants to hear negativity?
We have power in our words and in our knowledge so get out there and jump into the sea of interest! feed your hunger! power up and out of a bad mentality.

My experiences of urban music theatre project

Hi everyone,
I'm Louise and I'm working as a volunteer on the project in the Digital Arts workshops with Rich and Amy. I first got involved cos I wanted to learn about how multimedia can be used in the theatre to help me with my final year projects at uni. I didn't know anything about Urban Music Theatre Project before, and didn't realise how big the project is - That this is 2nd of 3 years working on it, and how many people are involved! I've learnt so much already, and really enjoy working with the participants. I can't wait to see it all come together in the performances...
they're going to be pretty impressive so make sure you don't miss them! This is really an amazing project that CAN is doing, and there needs to be more opportunities like this for young people.
As for how young people are portrayed in the media - we hear about all the bad stuff, and yes it does happen and it is a problem...but maybe if we focused on the good stuff that goes on then people would realise that it does exist, and learn how to create more of it and tackle the problems. I don't need to look far for an example of how the "youth of today" are doing something positive, just look around the room where Digital Arts is going on, and around the Zion centre where all the participants are really dedicated and involved in something amazing.
